to know Johnny Catou
Johnny Catou comes from a small Acadian community on Isle Madame. As a skilled carpenter, sawmill operator, and mechanic, he has been in the woodworking business for over 30 years.
Throughout his career, Johnny has built a wide range of structures, including houses, sheds, patios, and roofs, using lumber cut with a portable Wood-Mizer mill.
Currently, Johnny is working on an exciting new project: crafting musical instruments called “les palette,” designed by a close friend from the Halifax and Isle Madame area.
